Welcome to KenneWoods.com.  This has been in the works for about a year.  I am so excited to share with you what has given me great joy!

My name is Kenneth Norman Woods. I was born in Hondo, Texas in 1956 to Kenneth Woods and Charlene Willis Woods. Dad was a sharecropper’s boy from Greenwood, Texas who became a pilot in the Army Air Corp during World War II. He was always pursuing the dream of financial independence with a love for the ranching life. Mom was the daughter of an entrepreneur who accumulated land, cattle, and mineral rights in Montague and Cooke county Texas. She was all about raising kids and she loved sports. I have two siblings, Patsy and John. Patsy lives in Austin, Texas with her husband, Jack and has 3 kids. My brother, John, lives on the Open C Ranch in Forestburg, Texas. We grew up all over Texas as my dad pursued work in ranching, as a flight instructor, and in sales.

I’m called Kenne because my dad was Kenneth. My mom spelled my nickname that way. I pursued a career in the health field and received my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1982 @ the UT Health Science Center in San Antonio. I went to undergraduate school in Gainesville @ Cooke County College and in Denton @ NTSU. While in Denton I met Debbie Nash from Paris, Texas. We were married 4 years later. We have 2 sons, Lane, an incredibly free spirit who lives in Boerne and Lincoln, a student at Abilene Christian pursuing a degree in psychology.

I am living an incredibly blessed life and I created Balanced EnDevOr University because I love to teach. When Debbie and I moved to Henrietta, Texas in 1982 to open our dental practice, I was asked to help with the youth in our Sunday school. I was a marginal believer, at best, when I agreed to do that. What I discovered is that I loved to be with young people and nothing thrilled me more than when I shared something with them and I saw a light bulb come on in their head. I have taught Sunday school/youth ministry off and on virtually ever since then. I was doing it even before I was a committed Christian.

The idea for a “University” came because I heard a sermon from Tim Day, our youth pastor, @ FUMC, Boerne. He made the comment that “he only had the kids 4 hours a week”. Well, I was with them only one hour a week. What little influence could I have. That’s when I started the Facebook group site. Boerne LIHT. The format of which was motivated by 2 of my students, Tara Nunley and Jessisca Bowers. It was a way to connect with students daily and also a way to discipline me to read scripture, systematically every day.

The “University” came into play from Dennis Prager and his university. PragerU. I got into network marketing again in 2010. My idea was to provide a vehicle to help people in our church who we had been providing financial assistance to. Instead of giving them fish, we would give them a boat, rod and reel, and fishing lessons. As I was interviewing prospective business partners I found intelligent, hard-working, moral, athletic people who had minimal life skills. They didn’t know how to manage their faith, family, finances, fitness, and fun. Those 5 F’s were my idea as well as BEU and Entrepreneur Development Organization. Virtually everything else you hear or read in this blog and videos were learned from someone else.

This site gives me an opportunity to teach in the areas I have passion and enjoyment…and am gaining expertise. My hope and prayer is that you will benefit from my experience and be able to receive some of the blessings and pursue your own Great Life!
